Every year the gang at BMXnet.org get together to hold their annual conference. This year’s conference is being held in Essen, Germany the weekend of October 14th, with events starting on Thursday Oct 13th. There are still a number of spots available, so if you’re able to attend, register as soon as you can.
The list of classes hasn’t been posted yet, but going by the speaker list, you can expect seminars from the likes of Allen Faulkner, Steve Haworth, Ron Garza, Dan Dringenberg, Havve and Christiane from Wings of Desire, Gabor Zagyvai, Swasi Dan, Paul King, and many many more. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn from some of the world’s finest modification artists, at a reduced rate. Because admission gets you into all of the classes, you’ll be able to see seminars that would normally cost quite a bit individually. These seminars are all on top of the regular classes on everything from piercing techniques to anthropology, laser tattoo removal to store management, and so much more. In addition all classes will be offered in both English and German.
In addition there will also be a large number of vendors and exhibitors, your food is included in the price, and you’ll get to stay at the wonderful Unperfekthaus, a former convent turned into an art project house.
Just click here to register, and start packing your bags for Germany. Oh and while you’re waiting, check out some of the stories that have come from past BMXnet conferences.
If you’re in Europe next week, and can make it over to Berlin, you’ll have the opportunity to check out the BMXnet conference that’s happening from the 16th to the 19th. You can get the details about the conference at the BMXnet website. There you’ll find out the times and locations of all the lectures and workshops taking place over the course of the weekend.

A certain Mr. Crumbs let me know that the legendary Steve Haworth is hitting the road this fall, and is taking his act across the pond to a number of cities in Europe. If you don’t know who Steve is then you owe it to yourself to find out. As for where and when Steve will be appearing, here’s a handy list to help you with your travel plans.
Steve will be appearing at the Primal Arts Festival in Maryland September 3-6, and doing all four of his seminars and participating in suspensions. Visit our Seminars page to register for the seminars. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for appointments. This should be an exciting mix of the body mod world with kink and alternative lifestyles.
Steve will be doing an in-store appearance at INFINITE BODY PIERCING in Philadelphia, PA September 6-7. If you would like to make an appointment, please contact us.
Steve has finalized his European tour plans! He will be appearing at CALM Bodymodification in Stockholm Sep 10-11, Copenhagen Body Extremes Sep 13-14, BMXnet Conference in Berlin Sept 16-19, Trust Mannheim Sep 21-23, the London Tattoo Convention Sep 25, Self Sacrifice in London Sep 26-27, and Ghirigori Family studio in Oggiono, Italy Sept 29-30.
Steve will be presenting all four of his seminars at the BMXnet Conference, and at Self Sacrifice September 26-27. Visit the BMXnet page for more info and to register for BMX. More info will be posted soon on how to register for the London seminars.
Steve will be at Sanchez Ink Tattoo and Body Piercing in Fontana, CA on October 15-16. So if you’re in the LA area and have been wanting a mod from Steve, this would be a good opportunity. Please email email@example.com to make an appointment.
Modification practitioners and enthusiasts alike can benefit greatly from Steve’s seminars, so I highly recommend taking the time to go see him if you’re able to. Also, with Steve performing some modifications near the end of his tour you have the rare opportunity to be modified by one of the finest practitioners in the world. While Steve’s works can be seen in several galleries on BMEzine.com, a good place to start looking would be his own scarification gallery. For those who are subscribers to the surgical areas, the implant section is always a great place to check out some of Steve’s other work.
Holy crap, it worked! Welcome, friends, to the inaugural BME Podcast. Isn’t this exciting? We figured it was time to revive the old BME Radio format and spruce it up a bit with all sorts of Web 2.0 nonsense, and so here we are. As I mention on the show, this is very much still in the experimental stages, so any and all feedback is very much appreciated, both in terms of the sound quality and technical aspects, as well as guests you’d like to hear and topics and issues you’d like to be discussed. If things go well, you could be hearing a whole lot more of my deep and manly timbre.
On today’s podcast, our guest is Allen Falkner, who joins us to discuss the upcoming SusCon he’s organizing, Nevada’s current attempt to ban suspension, the six-hour suspension Chris Glunt just performed, and more. (Also, visit him at Fade Fast for all your tattoo removal needs!)

So! That Philadelphia Tattoo Arts Convention that all the movie stars are talking about? Well, it just got 22.8 percent sexier, because the word is that Steve Truitt will be sharing a booth with noted gridskipper John Durante, offering cuttings and all that good stuff. Above is one of Truitt’s most recent pieces: a dainty lily! Your common StumbleUpon user is thoroughly disgusted.
As well, there is still space available for people/shops/etc. looking for booths. Visit the convention’s web site for details, or call Troy at 215-882-1362.
I know we’ve been talking about the Philadelphia Tattoo Arts convention a whole lot lately, but it’s with good reason: This is really shaping up to be an incredible event that should be a huge “get-there” moment for a lot of people in the community. To say nothing of the stellar scarification artist lineup and BME’s own presence there, as that poster shows, this is just going to be a lot of fun with some really great performances. (Plus, there’s always a good chance that an all-out brawl will develop with the Suicide Girls/God’s Girls/Burning Angel trifecta, and as far as the live painting goes, I’ve heard good things about those Shawn Barber and Kim Saigh kids.)

(Self-done BME logo cutting by Jon Underwood — his first, no less!)
As if John Joyce, John Durante, Brian Decker and Ryan Ouellette weren’t enough to get you to the upcoming Philadelphia Tattoo Arts convention, running in scenic Philadelphia from February 27 to March 1, hold onto your butts, because BME will be there too! And not just walking around fondling people, either — we’ll have a booth and everything! The ever-lovely MissMeg will be on hand to pierce, and Rachel will be there holding down the fort, filming, taking photos, selling T-shirts [Note: buy T-shirts, lots of them] and doing all sorts of fun giveaways. This is shaping up to be one hell of a weekend, friends — get there.

You begged. You pleaded. You weren’t satisfied with a line-up of scarification artists at the upcoming Philadelphia Tattoo Arts convention that featured only John Durante, Brian Decker and Ryan Ouellette. Well, Syracuse heartthrob John Joyce will also be in attendance and is looking to fill up his Friday. How can you resist? You can’t. And not only that, but he’ll be bringing the very talented (and open for appointments) Rick Lohm with him, as well.

In addition to the already stacked line-up of scarification artists at the fast-approaching Philadelphia Tattoo Arts convention, globetrotting bon vivant John Durante will also be available for scarification appointments every day of the convention. This is an absolute murderer’s row, folks. Get thee to Philly.
The rubber king of Williamsburgh, xPUREx, sends in this recent cutting out of his very own Pure Body Arts studio in Brooklyn, New York. And, much like Ryan Ouellette yesterday, he will also be at the Philadelphia Tattoo Arts convention from February 27 to March 1, and wouldn’t you know it? He just had a cancellation, and is available all day on the Friday. Visit him on IAM or at PureBodyArts.com to set up an appointment.
