This Week in BME

Hey, holiday symbolism! And before anyone jumps in to criticize, those hand-web piercings are one day old. If they look fresh or irritated … that’s why.

And just like that, friends, another week is behind us. What kinds of hilarious hi-jinx did we get up to this time?

A brand new interview with The Lizardman! Always nice to hear from our fine, scaly friend.

VOMIT didn’t drink boners, but she did show us a fancy balloon trick.

Your managing editor was enlightened about the existence of long-standing Internet meme, and subsequently deleted the Internet, all of it, forever.

A fine display of piercing-reversal with this stitched-up stretched labret by xPUREx.

Samurai + serpent + swastikas = one hell of a back-piece.

Ryan Ouellette and xPUREx would both like to cut you at the Philadelphia Tattoo Arts convention.

No, really, we had a lot of really tremendous scars this week.

And there you have it. We’ll check back in over the weekend here and there, and then rise from the ashes on Monday morning, good as new. We’ve got some great interviews to look forward to soon, and, what, a complete redesign of BME rolling out any day now? Hell yeah. Be good to each other on this fabricated excuse to sell chocolate, ModBlog, stay safe, and, as always, thank you for your continued support of BME.

This Week in BME

Oh holy shit, what is this? The actual Devil? It looks like some goddamn sea monster with a face that was created by letting one of those 1950s-era diving helmets soak in nuclear waste. I mean, it’s a great tattoo, but I don’t understand why c.A feels the need to haunt me by getting tattooed with Poseidon’s nightmares.

(Tattoo by Kris Roberts at Shipwreck Tattoos in Corpus Christi, Texas.)

And another week down. What happened this time around?

A woman’s lovely tribute to her parents.

A public service announcement … with GUITARRRRR

We talked about adapting paintings into tattoos.

Gothic Clark Kent showed up.

We saw a brilliant Asian-inspired sleeve.

Rat plugs? Rat plugs.

Hey, zippers!

Anyway, we’ll be around this weekend. We’ll even have a new interview up at some point! Good times. Whatever you do, be safe. Have a great weekend, ModBlog, and, as always, thank you for your continued support of BME.

This Week in BME

Says tattoo artist Anji, “We’re going to be doing a ‘speaking bubble’ on the other wrist at some point.” Cute! In the meantime, what could Lora be thinking about? Hmm …

(Tattoo done by Anji Marth at High Priestess in Eugene, Oregon.)

And so the week has come to a close. What sorts of hilarious hi-jinx did we get up to this time?

  • BME was at the APTPI conference in Milan! Here is an account of those few days by Adam from BodyMod.org.
  • Everyone pretty much seemed to love these black boxes on a handsome young gent.
  • Marc from Swastika Freakshop’s deal with the devil continues to pay dividends, because this Ktulu piece is looking unreal.
  • One-hook resurrection suspension! Sweet sassy molassy.
  • Naked people? Check. Vegetables? Check. Penetration? Surprisingly little.
  • And here’s a fancy new BME News application for Facebook! Get it!
  • This baby killed a Smurf. But you can take her word for it, the Smurf had it comin’. When that Smurf’s kid grows up, if it still feels raw about it, she’ll be waiting.
  • Big weekend ahead for sports fans: The Georges St.-Pierre–B.J. Penn rematch at UFC 94 on Saturday night should be one for the ages, and then Sunday night, of course, is the Super Bowl. (Go Buzzsaw!) Whatever you do, stay safe. We’ll be checking in throughout the weekend as per usual, and then come Monday, do it all over again. Have a great weekend, everyone, and, as always, thank you for your continued support of BME.

    Who the hell doesn’t?

(Tattoo by Shauncey at Three Saints Tattoo in Pensacola, Florida.)

So, that was a fun week, right? Let’s look back at what went down:

  • We wished that all fast food waitresses looked as good as this.
  • We killed some dreams, because, hey, why not?
  • Hey, Obama took office! Time to make party!
  • SOMEBODY doesn’t like cheese, and is also a filthy communist, probably.
  • Oh my God, please, whatever you do, take care of your stretched lobes in this frigid wintry weather, or else disgusting and painful things will happen.
  • AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
  • Anyone up for a Super Bowl bet?
  • Some of you are awful at following instructions re: political flame wars.
  • BME’s Big Question made its triumphant return! Go read it! Right now!
  • And there we have it, folks. Stick around over the weekend for the sexy funtime you’ve come to expect. Have a great weekend, everyone, and as always, thank you for your continued support of BME.

    This Week in BME

You know what? It’s been a long week. I just want to go home, turn on the radio, and do some work around the house. First thing, I’ve gotta fix this broken light.

So many loose screws! Glad I’ve got my lucky screwdriver, I tell you.

And now, just have to water some plants, and then it’s time for bed. I’ve earned this.

(Photos of the incomparable Kokomi. Much, much more in his BME Hard gallery.)

Whew! Wild week, there, folks. Some memorable moments:

  • Weezy and his grill make an appearance.
  • The very, very controversial eyebrow removal seems to be healing well!
  • Swastika Freakshop is awesome, as always, forever, etc.
  • They’re real, and they’re spectacular.
  • Your managing editor prevented a repeat of a prior calligraphic civil war that made everybody want to kill each other, and themselves.
  • Roo, as usual, is all about nipple ‘splosions.
  • Hero pilot Chesley B. “Sully” Sullenberger III receives the first-ever BME Big Balls award!
  • A fanciful and in-depth profile of Club Tattoo visionary Sean Dowdell was published.
  • We’ll be around over the weekend. Don’t be afraid to visit. Enjoy yourselves, ModBlog, stay safe, and thank you for your continued support of BME.

    This Week in BME

So here is a rather ingenious recession-era idea, since all of the food, everywhere, will soon be looted by roving packs of the unemployed (read: everyone), our friend shahafpoint has drafted this prototype candy that also grows nutritious herbs and spices! As dark as the days may get, at least we will be able to dry our tears with oregano leaves.

Wait, no, shahafpoint got this piece in tribute to his grandmother and her Tic Tac addiction. That’s much sweeter.

(Tattoo by Avi Nassi at Psycho in Tel Aviv, Israel.)

And just like that, Friday night is flashing us, signaling it’s time to go. What happened this week, anyway?

  • We handed out our year-end awards, in case you missed them! Thanks, everyone!
  • A minor shitstorm over an eyebrow-removal scarification has progressed into a full-blown wild-shitfire, which continues to burn, murdering everything in its path.
  • The BME Scholarship is back! This is a really excellent cause. Give accordingly.
  • Clint Eastwood thinks you’re all a bunch of pussies.
  • Ferg and La Negra wasted valuable food, because they are bad, sexy people.
  • And there we have it. A post or two over the weekend, and then we put on our game-face and get back to it, Monday morning. Stay tuned next week for a fun article on a piercer who has been around forever, more or less, and who had a pretty full year that’s only getting busier. Until then, stay safe, and thank you for your continued support of BME. Have a great weekend.

    This Week in BME

Hey, you heard the legs. Sound advice.

Well, it was a short week on account of the holidays, but I think we squeezed some fun out of it. To send off 2008, we:

  • Went around cold murderin’ endangered unicorns.
  • Put up some blingy jewelry for charity.
  • Drowned a giraffe, for fun, just because.
  • Froze our nuts off.
  • Killed absolutely every animal on earth. Lots of dead animals this week, eh?
  • Had an epiphany.
  • And lest you think we forgot, the annual BME Year-End Awards will be up very shortly. (You think you’re excited? Feel these nipples!) Other than that, a couple posts over the weekend, and then we get back into the regular routine, Monday morning. Be safe, folks, and of course, thank you for your continued support of BME. Have a great weekend.

    This Week in BME

    IAM: xronix

A fine week, in the books. Some highlights:

  • We had apples.
  • La Negra popped in and, as usual, lit up our lives.
  • Some people find tattoo shops in malls an affront to everything that the art-form stands for, while some merely hate the idea.
  • Scotty may or may not have left a mark on that handsome chair.
  • Noobs were told to STFU, and some people did not approve.
  • Paul King schooled us on nipples.
  • And that’s all for this week, folks. We’ll pop in a couple times over the weekend, and then it’s back to normal, bright and early-ish on Monday morning. Happy Halloween, ModBlog. Stay safe.
