  1. I think they do heal. I once saw a guy on a TV show who had the “bolts” inplanted in his scalp in the same design as a mohawk haircut. He demonstrated how he simple unscrewed the spikes from the implanted bolts, and changed the design, size, and length of the spikes he’d wear each day. I think it’s really cool look.
