Don Quixote by Picasso Tattoo

I really like the way that Gabriel “Gabby” Moore (formerly of Skin Script Tattoos in York, PA, now at Marked 4 Life) has kept the original feel of Pablo Picasso’s Don Quixote in this tattoo he did on his friend Scott.

  1. ~That’s so wonderful. I happen to have a SICK obsession for Picasso, even though I would think twice about a tattoo like that one .

  2. Not a huge Picasso fan, but that’s one of my favorite pieces of art… probably more for the story than the image. I named my last motorcycle Rocinante.

    I like the tattoo!

  3. Wow, I love the comments thanks everyone.. One correction though.. I am no longer at Skin Script.. I am very proudly at Marked 4 Life ( York, Pa ) and would hate for anyone to head to Skin Script looking for me.

  4. I love that painting and have a big print of it in my dining room…I’m so amazed at how well that was executed! A+!

  5. Wow… my ribs are getting some major play online!

Everyone who has seen this tattoo (yes, even my mother) has absolutely loved in and it has quickly become one of my favorites. The detail and style he worked into this piece are simply amazing!

Gabby is a super-talented artist (not to mention a great friend of mine for over ten years now) and anyone in the Baltimore-York area thinking of getting some ink done should check him out.

  6. Joanne – It’s to my understanding that reproducing a piece of art is completely legal as long as their is either no gain involved or it has been changed slightly

  7. That’s really incredibly done! It looks like it will only look more like the original as it ages – very nice.

  8. this is my all time favorite tattoo picture, the brush stroke effects are so well done, and very true to the original.

but havent you posted this already? i was certain it was here i saw it here before.

  9. oh man….i’m in love with whoever got this tattoo because this is the exact one that i’ve wanted for years

  10. I like the tattoo, I think you posted a similar one a while back… or maybe I saw this in the galleries *shrug*.
