Happy Weekend

I wasn’t going to post anything today but I came across this photo while processing images and I had to take a moment to share it with all of you. It was submitted by xemaxtomax from Venezuela. I’m not sure if the lines going through the photo are the result of Photoshop or some sort of technical issue but who doesn’t love looking at beautiful boys with beautiful piercings?

I’ll come right out and confess that I’m not a fan of the look of large gauge facial piercings (it’s just a personal aesthetic thing) but kudos to this boy for pulling it off with his stretched medusa. I’m going to assume that his cheek piercings are self-done since that’s what the image was submitted as and he’s listed his own name as the artist. Whatever the case may be, I’m liking the look!

I hope you all have a happy and safe weekend!

  1. A brave confession, nice to hear from a staff writer :)

Although im a big fan of a large gauge facial piercings I must say he pulls it off far better than most.

    Beautiful photo :)

  2. he’s purdy

and my Nokia does the lines thing sometimes, but mine looks a million times worse then this when it happens

  3. I don’t mean this to be rude, and it is your opinion, but why did you even put that you don’t care for stretched facial piercings in this post at all?

  4. You write for modblog and are not a fan of large gauge facial piercings? Looks like someone needs a new job.

  5. ahhh boys from vzla…i dated one for a while, and will remember him quite fondly! lovely piercings, very nicely fitting on him!

  6. Pat – That makes no sense. Because I don’t find something aesthetically pleasing I need a new job? I support everyone’s right to be modified whether I happen to find the mods physically attractive or not. That’s what’s important. Sorry, there are some things I don’t find attractive, that has nothing to do with my job. Now, if I said “ew gross, people shouldn’t do that” we’d have a problem but I don’t think that at all. In fact, I don’t think it’s gross at all. Or if I refused to post the pictures because I didn’t like the mods, that would be a problem. Me not usually finding them sexy however, pretty much a non-issue.

nombre! – Not rude at all, I was merely saying that while generally I don’t find that particularly attractive, in this case I think it’s working very well and is very attractive. Therefor, my comment was relevant. It’s nice to see something that I wouldn’t normally find attractive proving me wrong.

I don’t expect everyone to find everything I like attractive nor should I be expected to find everything everyone else does attractive. That doesn’t mean people shouldn’t do it. Mind you if everyone went about trying to make sure they were attractive to me, I wouldn’t complain… :)

I’m glad Dandy doesn’t mind me bringing a bit of the personal into ModBlog. I think it’s kind of nice to be honest, myself.

  7. As for the lines, I couldn’t make out if it was on purpose, like something that was done in Photoshop, film grain or what. I know you can overlay a pattern in Photoshop that’s meant to make a photo look like it’s got the grains from photo paper on it but I wasn’t sure if that was what was going on in this one or not.
