Sinners in the sun

When you think of Moscow’s Sinner Team, the first thing to come to mind is probably the free fall suspensions.  If not that then any number of the other incredible suspensions they’ve put together at their space in the city, or out in the cold Russian air.  The last thing you’re going to think of is hanging by a tree over the ocean on an island off the coast of Thailand.

Now this is The Sinner Team, so you know Stanislav had his camera rolling for all of the suspensions.  So here’s the video they took of their time in Thailand.

Free Fall Suspension – The Birth

Ladies and gentlemen, BME is very happy to present to you “Free Fall Suspension – The Birth”.  This video, filmed by and starring The Sinner Team, chronicles their journey towards their now trademark free-fall suspensions.  From their early experiments with swinging from a bridge, to their first free-fall and beyond, Stanislav’s team has made tremendous strides when it comes to pushing the limits of suspension.  As you can see by the image below, these suspensions are extremely dangerous and should never be attempted without stringent safety measures and experts present.  This is the full length film, so grab some popcorn and a drink before firing it up.  Oh, and it’s in Russian with English subtitles.

As with all videos, I’ve put it behind a click-through just in case your browser likes to autoplay videos.

You can check out more photos and videos from The Sinner Team in their BME Suspension Team Gallery.

Putting your best foot forward

This is one of the more challenging suspensions I’ve seen done.  Chubby Vegan is calling it an antichrist suspension, however for some reason I remember it being called something else when Havve did it at the Dallas Suscon.  In any case, it’s still a tricky one to pull off, and even trickier to transition into a 2 point version using only 1 leg.  The suspension itself was facilitated by Brazil’s Diablos Mutantes Suspension Team.

Flying Sinners

We’ve got some brand new photos in from Moscow’s Sinner Team.  The crew hosted Black Fly Tattoo’s 6th annual suspension BBQ.  With the help of a crane, they did some pretty impressive suspensions, including this 4pt modified superman, which I believe is now called the flying shrimp.  I’ve seen similar suspensions, but this is the first time I’ve seen it down with 1 point in each knee below the kneecap.  Normally there are 2 points on the sides of each knee.  You can see more photos in the Sinner Team’s BME Gallery.

Rites of Passage

A couple of weeks back Rites of Passage held their annual gathering in the woods of Massachusetts.  The ROP BBQ is a weekend unlike any other.  All of the suspensions are held outdoors with some of the best scenery you can imagine.  This year Allen Falkner brought his camera along and made this short film that gives you a taste of what happened.  After watching the video, head on over to the ROP BBQ galleries to see photos from this year’s BBQ, as well as images from previous years.

Holding on

Alright, I’m at a loss as to what to call this suspension.  Is it a 4pt superman?  A reverse resurrection?  The cannonball?  Whatever it is, the Moscow based Sinner Team pulled it off.  While that is the bridge that they use for their freefall suspensions, this is clearly a static suspension.
