I read that you said that you had gotten some complains about body modification from some Christian readers, I guess I'd just like to apologize on behalf of my religion. We as Christians are supose to be the most understanding and caring type of people. But somone throughout our existance has thrown in that those who are not like us should be persicuted.

I however do not believe such a thing is true. I think that body modification is a way to express yourself, as a Christian, any other religion, or just to express yourself period. By no means do I think it violates your relationship with Jesus. Some christians might say that by piercing or tatooing yourself you are torchuring yourself. But there are practices that many Christians attend that cause pain, circumsion is a very commen Christian practice, and it even originated in the Jewish society which are our roots (I'm not saying theres anything wrong with circumcision).

Christians wear crosses to show their love for the savior and to display our believe in Him. So choose to take it futher and get a tattoo of a cross, something they can't get rid of, as if to say this love for my God is permanent. In the same way I think they could display their appreciation for dogs, with a dog tattoo. Or a piercing to wear a cross earing, so what would be wrong with having your nipple or tonge pierced just cause it made you happy of helps you display better who you are. I see no wrong in that, if anything I only see good.

To those of you who are Christian and reading this, I hope that you can see though the prejudice that veil that has somehow been created by our religion that says we can only accept those who are exactly like us. We should be able to show the world that we are the most caring and undersanding people and will except freely all people who wish to becaome part of are religion regardless of how they chose to express themselves. I have misjudged many people who I though were so wrong because of their outward appearance, then I found out they were in the same community i am. Don't make this mistake, except all.

"Judge not or be Judged."
