It was the same feedback and an unfortunate accident that has made it my mission to tell everyone out there that has a PA about the danger of having a ring.
A lot of guys have e-mailed me telling me about there different problems that come with having a PA while being uncut...
Them main problem is that a ring might cause too much STRESS on the foreskin and the frenulum web tissue, which causes mild to constant tenderness.
But let me tell you about my accident first: it happened on the 12th of December of 95 while I was having sex with my girlfriend. I was thrusting as usual when my penis suddenly came to far out (as it always happens) and I hit the ring on her labia on the way back in. The ring bent down and it cut a slit about 1/8" into the bottom of my urethra!!! So now my urethra is bigger than hell and Snake (my piercer) told me that I should go ahead and slit it all the way down (no thanks!).
This, from what I've heard, can also happen with a REVERSE PA if a similar situation occurs (that would hurt!). This should not have happened because I had a 10 gauge ring! Supposedly you use this gauge to prevent the ring from cutting you. So my glans BLED for like 5 minutes or so and I had to take the ring off!
So after talking to some people that responded to my first article we have come up with a solution that MAY prevent this from happening. The SOLUTION is using a CURVED BARBELL instead of a ring. The barbell is less likely to get caught on anything and it will also mean almost NO STRESS on the foreskin for uncut men.
The reasons that caused this accident are the following:
PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE THIS WARNING. IT'S NOT JUST ME THAT THIS HAS HAPPENED TO. THE PROBLEM SEEMS TO BE MORE COMMON ON MEN WHO ARE UNCIRCUMCISED AND THAT HAVE A LARGE URETHRAL OPENING.
DON'T let this DISCOURAGE you from getting a PA. Just remember that if you're uncut it's safer to use a CURVED BARBELL. I'm gonna put in a barbell myself as soon as I can get one. I also plan to have 6 FORESKIN piercings done in an hexagon pattern. So this HASN'T discouraged me at all :)
ATTENTION PIERCERS: please inform your customers of this. I'm not making this up! Several people have given me their experiences and suggestions that in turn prompted me to publish this warning.
So go for it! The PA is a great sexual enhancer... just ask my girlfriend :) -- But please remember this warning!
Please e-mail me if you need further details or if this or something similar has happened to you.
P.S. Sorry to all the people that requested pictures of my piercing. I wish I could get a Polaroid camera or that I can find a photo lab that won't freak out :) It won't be long now.... I promise a pic of my PA with a ring, a close-up of my unfortunate injury AND a photo of my PA when I get my NEW barbell.
P.P.S If anyone has spare barbells or rings (any gauge) please donate them to me :) I would be extremely grateful. Remember that Mike is a piercer in training. I need them for some experiments... :) ... email me!
Thank you... MIKE.
