You know, when Phil shouted across the office that we had some pictures of dermal anchors on toes and fingers, I thought it was a pretty lame idea… But now that I see them, I’ve got to admit they look really cool, sort of like “bandless rings” or something. Someone needs to file a patent, ha. Anyway, these were done in 16ga by Trevor at Urban Art in Mesa.

healed anchorings? please… yea i agree. and the world being round? yeah i’ll believe it when i see it. for the record both of those piercings have just hit the 2 month mark. so we’ll see.

They’re dermal anchors, so they have no other side. This isn’t really how they work, but imagine someone sticking a push pin into the skin — that’s the affect of a dermal anchor.
