  1. Nonono I don’t like grasshoppers/crickets/nasty jumpy insects….. the thought of a grasshopper squicks me out, and that’s enormous!!!
I love large skin removals though. My brain’s fighting it out.

  2. The first grasshopper was not done at scar wars. We did it in my studio a few months ago. that being said, if anyone wants work at this years scar wars in Philly, send me a message. ;)

  3. Oh man! I thought i loved the elephant, but this just puts it to shame! Two of my favorite things!

  4. Yay John Joyce! My favorite piercer! :)

These look incredible, but also incredibly painful! I’d love to see what they look like when the newer one’s all scarred over. Grasshoppers are neat.

  5. Ouchies! I’m in pain from the tiny little peeling I’ve just had done, now I feel like such the whimp!

  6. I forget to appraise pictures like this on an aesthetic level, I’m always left with the technical questions: How on earth do they do such a large removal?? Is it in strips?

  7. John Joyce is super fantastic. I am secretly in love with him. ooopsie! So much for secret.
