Jeremy’s Lucky Day

Jeremy went to the tattoo show at the DVA Gallery in Chicago at the end of April, and while there pop artist Mitch O’Connell (“one of the rockinist artists ever”) — who has never drawn on anyone in this context before — drew a bunny on Jeremy’s arm using a sharpie marker.

After Mitch drew it, oMs (below) at Revolution Tattoo and Art Gallery tattooed it permanently in place.

So now Jeremy has an original piece of pop art on his arm, and the first (if not only) “true” Mitch O’Connell tattoo.

  1. I’ve been waiting for this to happen. I’m so glad that it’s two good artists collaborating, rather than some crap. Right on!

  2. The turtle above it…isn’t that from those “if you can draw this you’re an artist” advertisements for art schools?

  3. Yeah, thats Tippy the Turtle from the learn how to draw art test. I have the pirate on the other arm.

  4. lol way cool cant wait untell i tell Mitch hes on the mod blog. i have always loved his art work and he is one of the coolist people i have ever met in person

  5. I think I like the Tippy the Turtle tattoo more than the MO’C one. Becoming a ‘real’ artist by means of that crappy infomerical was my goal in life when I was six.

  6. singing, one of these things is not like the other, one of these things is exactly the same….. :) came to mind when i saw the bunny… sorry i am a sesame street addict!

  7. Great looking tattoo, but I think it’s preatty lame that he signed it

  8. that is so sick
    i love that idea
an artist drawing directly on you
then another artist tattooing it on!

  9. Wow, I couldn’t tell at first under all that hair but I know the artist. He did my first tattoo in fact. Holla back oMs!

  10. Haha, JWM.. I saw that too and I was like “OMAR?!”.. I’m so happy to him on here. haha

  11. At first glance I though the post was about how long had lasted the tattoo…
“Look, the artist became hairy and beardy before he finished it!”
