As an alternative to dermal punching that can still give you large open holes in the cartilage of the ear, Samppa has been cutting them in place with a scalpel and then suturing them closed. Here’s an example, done on Baawo (more on their pages).

Note: chatting to Baawo earlier, this projects is *far* from finished – the end plan is a tattooed biomechanical tubes look, and I believe there are at least 3 more holes to be created.

wow, i am glad i haven’t got my ears punched yet. I think this looks mutch more natural.
