Let me just share the story directly:
Since I was born with a fairly severe hearing loss, I'm pretty much required to wear hearing aids. I never liked to (still don't) but there's not much I can do about it. I decided rather than just put up with my condition, I could try and have a little fun with it. Hence, an Ear Head piercing enclosing the tube of my hearing aid.
[The first time] it rejected very quickly, and I got it redone this January, this time by by Anne at Studio 13 and a Half with a 16g barbell. Once it heals (assuming it ever does...) it will be a CBR as well [as you see in the photo].
It's quite swollen and unhappy right now. It gets bumped and yanked waaay too much in martial arts class!

Thanks guys. Thanks to Shannon too for posting this.
xXx- Nah, I was homeschooled. Silly teachers thinking front row seating is enough.
Jo, the CBR goes BEHIND the tube, so if you looked at it from the front the ring would be tilted out slightly. Does that makes sense?

nice idea for sure. im just wondering how irritated it will be getting from any constant movement from the tubing itself.do you have a clearer picture of the piercig? i work with hearing aids and im intersted in how it all looks up close 🙂

Sorry, I’ll have to get it photographed soon.
The tubing doesn’t interfere with the ring, and before the 18g one(shown in picture) migrated _out_ I had no issues.
I’m wearing a 16g curved barbell now, gonna go back to my piercer tomorrow and see what can be done to help with what’s been a slow healing process.

I think you just gave me hope re: piercings in ear such as those ones. I never thought of doing it that way. but knowing me if i did i would forget and yank my hearing aid out and probably scream bloody murder. Lol
