Dotwork Tribal Leg Tattoo

This great dotwork tattoo was poked by Eric at Kunst Med Puls in Oslo, Norway. I really love how dotwork has taken off in the last year… I posted a lot of amazing pieces to BodyTwo and hopefully soon we’ll get all that content moved over here.

  1. I love the way this stuff looks. My only question is how in the heck is it going to hold up in the long run? Or do you expect to have it re-done in 10-12 years?

  2. I think pointalism tattooing will start to really catch on. I seen Katherine using it to create a portrait of Scarface and it looked way better than traditional shading. I like this tribal version.

  3. some suggest it will fade away much faster than traditional tattooing. Butt i like the style very much!

  4. I fell in love with the dot work tattoos coming out of Copenhagen’s I’ve had a couple of pieces done now, and after (only) 4 years there has been no deterioration. I’m trying to work out when I can get back for a third, but Australia is a loooooooooooooooooooong way away from Copenhagen and Oslo!

  5. yeah i am more interested in dotwork every time i see it. its a very striking stle. if i can find an accomplished artist in the boston area, itll be my next piece.

  6. i love love love this style!
anyone know of someone in the southwest US whos got experience?

  7. There are some American guys doin this stuff. I live in TX, and I just got done with a Tibetan Buddhist themed dotwork 3/4 sleeve. Looks AMAZING. My artist had never done anything like that before, but he’s exceptional in his abilities to give ya JUST what ya want!
