1,2,3 point orbital

When the discussion about the trickiest piercings each of had done came up in the IAM: Learning Piercing forum, where we mentioned the uvula piercing,  and Seth D. mentioned a 3 point orbital he had done. Well, that discussion had me feature a uvula piercing here, but I didn’t think to feature the orbital. Then I ran across it when perusing the galleries looking for possible features and damn was I impressed! Regular 2 point orbitals are a technical piercing, but this 3 point orbital is a master piece.

For 2 different perspectives on this piercing, keep on keeping on.

  1. Actually Caleigh, because the jewelry lies parallel to her head it doesn’t bother her at all any more. She says it was a little sore for the first month or so, but as of now (9 months into healing) it doesn’t really even bother her to sleep on it. The cool thing about this piercing is that it’s completely tucked up within the ear, so there isn’t really any jewelry hanging out to get hit or snagged on.

  2. Thats good to know! I have had my conche’s punched for over a year now and they STILL bother me. I have always had issues with anything other than my tragus and lobes when it came to ear piercings. I find them so uncomfortable :(

  3. this is awsome! best post in a long time
would be great to see more things like this on modblog

  4. now that is some good handiwork right there! i don’t think id even attempt something like this yet, unless if it were on a good friend maybe…id like to know if it was pierced altogether with one piece of jewelry or pierced separately and then connected when it was healed. when i do 2 point orbitals i usually will wait until they are healed to connect them with one piece of jewelry.

  5. wow. lovely piercing!

ps: 1970-something called it wants it’s trite, lame-ass catch phrase back.
pss: the 21st century left a voicemail, for fuck’s sake!!! quit with the goddamn keep on keepin on.
it was old and tired 30 years ago. (which would be the 1980′s btw)

  6. Seth, i noticed that your location/place of business was absent from the post. Would you mind telling us where you work out of? If I’m close enough, I would like to get piercing work done by you, as this looks fantastic.

  7. This I like! I would do something like this if I didn’t wear hearing aids. Oh well, I still like my rook to forward helix or earhead, whichever term you prefer.

  8. this is just amazing!!!!!!! fantastic work :)

i like how its the solitary piercing, and not complicated with others :)

if only my 3-years-to-get-close-to-healing ears would allow me such things *sigh*

  9. #27: Any chance you’ll end up in the Richmond/Charlottesville are of Virginia in the near-ish future?

  10. mr. mister i have switched to 1/2 canal hearing aids a step down form the over the ear hearing aid to address the freedom of the cartilage on the top pat of my ear and with 1/2 canal there are also even smaller hearing aids that go deeper into the canal, i found that getting pierced earlobes obstructed stupid individuals from asking what is in my ears , and why i have them, mind you back then i got coloured hearing aid moulds. and now people ask me about the 1/2 inch lobes i have in and barely see the skin tone hearing aids anymore.

  11. Trip, I am assuming you have behind the ear hearing aids? If so, I also have the half ear canal molds too. Mine are clear, and the only reason people notice I have hearing aids is when they see the battery area. They notice my 7/8″ lobes and cartilage piercings before they notice my hearing aids all the time.

  13. Trip, after reading your post again I realize that you don’t have behind the ears. I have lost over 70 percent of my hearing and the other ones aren’t strong enough volume wise for me to use.

  14. Trip, after reading your post again, I realized you don’t have behind the ears. These are the only ones that are strong enough for me, believe me I have tried.

  15. im truly impressed i would have done this with three pieces untill a good/full heal was reached so my hat is off to you sir
