i noticed that on the left side of the picture in the top of his nostril is something odd right above the quill…. where can i get some quills that are 00g and up?

@ Sneezy: I think that’s just a nose piercing, kind of pushed by the quill so it looks funny.
I wonder if he accidently pokes stuff with it. 🙂 It looks very nice!

I love that fact that there is animals out there that walk around with hundreds of THOSE things sticking out of them in every direction.
amazing. Very impressive sized quill. Is it from Organic?

@ 5&6
i assume the quill is smaller than his septum piercing and he has another rod or some sort to keep it tight?

Wow!!! This photo’s like, a year old hah. from when i was in vancouver last christmas
The quill is from an african porcupine which is why it is so long, my septum was about 10mm at the time and the quill was 7mm, it stayed put simply because of the length and that i wore kaos in it
my septum’s now 14mm and i generally use a double A battery as jewellery 😉
thanks for all your kind comments 🙂

My first silly thought was that if I was wearing that and a pull over I’m sure I would forget to remove it before trying to take my pull over off and get stuck o_O

to be honest it is kinda stupid for the point being that obviously a porcupine could not produce a quill that large so obviously its synthetic of course defeating the purpose of having a porcupine quill septum

Daniel wrote: …” obviously a porcupine could not produce a quill that large so obviously its synthetic…” Yes, it is authentic. It is from an African Porcupine and they produce quills even longer than what he’s so handsomely wearing. I volunteer work at a wildlife ranch where we have two of these African porcupines and we sell the quills that naturally shed off in the gift shop.
