LostSally: It seems as if you’ve fallen into the common misconception that pet rats are dirty. My pet rats also did the same thing with my labret CBR. You do know that domestic rats clean them selves between 10-15 times a day right?

I have a quaker parrot.. i wouldn’t let her anywhere near my jewelry. She’d probably put another hole in.. or rip the jewelry out.

It all depends on how tame the bird is. I had a budgie who used to use my septum ring as a door knocker, or as a pulley to attempt to climb my face. He also liked rotating my jewelery for me. Rest his soul.
