The quote is not from the wearer, but since we’re watching Survivor here tonight I thought it was appropriate. This is a McKenzie’s spectrum of skin tones (neat idea for a tattoo, I like it) done by Jason from Deep Roots in Seattle.

it looks like an art project i did, a shading project i believe, i love it.
I love the idea behind it and the way it looks.
And that was one of the weirder moments in SURVIVOR history on tonight’s show!!!
shannon, i agree…
at first i was feeling really sorry for him bcaus of what they wee doing… then he got all weid talking about being in love with whatsherface… creepy
Yeah, what the heck was up with that? I felt for the guy until he got all creepy.
That is the awesomest thing I’ve seen in a while.
I want one.
That really is a bad ass idea for a tattoo.
Omg, I’m too nerdy… I thought (as I scrolled down) it was going to be a hex gradient chart.
*hangs head in shame*
Fucking awesome idea tho, its a great position for it too.
Simple… I really like it! Don’t worry joeltron, I’m an art student so I thought it was the color scale thing we’ve been doing in painting 🙁
Does it get slightly smaller on the way down to the wrist, or is that just the angle of the photo/me having poor eyesight?
thats not what i ment, i ment the tattoo looks like the art project, but the idea is totally different. and it is an amazing idea.
Ooh, that looks fantastic and I love the concept too!
awww this one is awesome
That is a totally awesome concept. People think of all the cool things before me 🙂
I just did an assignment like that in my Drawing and Painting 1 class.
It was a value scale of white to black, 12 one inch by one inch squares.
I got mine put vertical on the board, so this reminds me of it a bit. 😀
Wops! This tattoo actually belongs to my girlfriend, jessica. I just happened to be the one who submitted it for her!
If you could change that, it would be much appreciated.
Thanks so much for the comments, guys. 🙂
It’s beautiful.
