The Mote in Tattoo’s Eye

A customer of Evan‘s (Color Works in West Des Moines, IA) asked him to have the eye he had tattooed on “shine” — here comes a microdermal to the rescue! Anyway, that’s it for today (sorry), but I’ve been thinking about the ModBlog Scrapbook idea a bit more and I’d be happy to take the time to assemble it if people are interested — it would basically be a print “best of” for ModBlog since it began in August 2005.

  1. yes, but would it be “best of” that bme/iam users would vote on, or would it be “best of” that Shannon voted on?

  2. I don’t think that voting en masse on 3000+ options is viable… I’d be more likely to sit down with various IAM/BME people up here and go through the pictures together and pick the favorites that way.

  3. beautiful tattoo!

you already have one copy of ModBlog the Scrapbook sold Shannon. I’ll be the first in line.

  4. now thats a SERIOUS EYE BOOGIE! *chuckles*

Maybe intsead of a “Best Of ModBlog” book, perhaps do up a entry that covers the best of modblog first?

Maybe do like a year end award for modblog where the best of the best can be reviewed and enjoyed.

What would be in the ModBlog scrapebook? Just the information stated/posted, would the comments be included?

    Its definately an interesting concept.

  5. Oh, I would absolutely be interested. It would make a fabulous coffee table book beside my PostSecret collection :p

  6. Microdemals are starting to come into their own a little more now would you not say? I like this, very nice idea.

And YES to the Modblog book, just wait til I’ve got my pictures in and accepted so I can get into the book…

  7. Shannon,
Looks like you better start composing that ModBook quite a few sold already. Better put me down for one also lol :)

  8. I’ve already expressed interest in owning this type of anthology. Your own opinion as to the ‘best of’ would suit me just fine. Although, if I had the chance, I would definitely take some time out to help you decide, if in fact the decision making would take place in the Toronto area.

  9. micro dermal is sweet…i hade one done about 4 weeks ago at the shop i work from little john…its on a black and grey eyeball on my arm, the bling to screw on is in the post…and i thought i was being original! haha!

  10. shannon is beautiful and clever.

more to the point. i will buy the book.

    and that microdermal looks hot.

  11. The tattoo and the microdermal each look great, too bad that the microdermal doesn’t seem to achieve the desired result of looking like a sparkle in the eye. It looks like something protruding from the eye instead. But then, maybe that has to do with the angles the pics were taken from?

  12. evan is a gnarly dude, and here’s the link to his myspace…

from there you can also find his shop’s myspace and his own piercing myspace.

he recently started tattooing a while back, but i’m not too sure as to what all he’s done.

when i messaged him, he was really stoked and flattered to have his work on here.
