  1. I didn’t even know that oranges in Kuala Lumpur would have Sunkist stickers on them…

    I actually find it quite sociologically fascinating that the oranges in these rituals are from a mass-market grocery store. I guess it’s not surprising when you think about it objectively, but it seems to contrast with the ritual a little, a funny collision of old-world spirituality and new-world corporatism.
