To geek and to game, in sickness and in health.

James and I met online two years ago in a Zelda forum. The first pictures we saw of each other were not of our faces but of these tattoos, they inspired us to become friends, then to eventually meet.

Our first date was a night of Mario Kart 64 and we’ve been together ever since! We thought this shot at our wedding would be especially appropriate..

The life meter and triforce tattoos that brought them together, a match made in Hyrule!

  2. Do you think her back makes the same irritating beebing noise the game does because it’s low on health?

  3. sooooooo cute ^^,
the pinging from her low health must take some getting used to.

  4. I wish I was privileged enough to find a very pretty girl that likes video games. Maybe she’s out there somewhere. I probably won’t ever find her though. Good luck !!!! I’m glad for them.

  5. ‘Our first date was a night of Mario Kart 64 and we’ve been together ever since!’

    Aww.

  6. Lol, everyone commenting on the geekiness, I remember a Bill Gates quote I read once that made me laugh, which I think is worth repeating here:

“Don’t make fun of the geeks, because one day, you’ll be working for them”

  7. Oh no, she’s about to die! But once you collect a piece of the Triforce don’t you get another heart and full health :P If so she’s set :)

  8. That is so cute :) And I love the idea of the life meter. I think it tells so much (about her life and feelings at the time she got it) in such a subtle way.
