That’s a pretty cool image. And to have it be of the wearer’s father is even better.
I love that.
very nice
VERY nice shading and detail on that
Man, I’d love to see the original picture.
the sentiment is nice but it’s poorly executed…
i’d love to see the original image
I just don’t understand mod blog. There is tons of good and exciting work beign uploaded to bmezine everyday. But this is the garbage that continues to be featured on modblog.
I really want to see the original picture!
that is gorgeous!
Nice call back to Huck Finn in the title
Poorly executed?? It’s awesome.
I’ve got to agree with knifefight. The faces on the boy and dog both really bother me. Other than that it looks great and the idea is awesome.
Hmmm, I really really like this. I think I’ve seen so many attempts at a photorealistic portrait that come off badly that taking a more ‘anime-ish’ approach seems to be so much more appropriate to the medium. And surely the haters should see the original picture before passing judgement – I mean a photo from the 30s was probably massively airbrushed to the point where it looked similar to this anyway.
Just sayin’…
It’s good until you venture a gander at the faces….
I like this :)
I have a tattoo from Eddie and its still perfect after 12 years, he is a great artist so thats probably about what the pic looked like
