I only take issue with this because it looks like the poor thing is being choked. If they had a proper harness on the dog then I say why not.

As far as I know that is a harness, you just can’t see it under the fur… When the photo was submitted the description called it a harness anyway.

I am not about to send hatemail, but if someone is going to hang thier pet they should use a harness not a collar around thier neck, which can be painful and dangerous I would imagine.

Under the fur? I dont think so, you would see the other straps leading off the neck part, and the fur is short and white, and the collar dark. I really do not think it is a harness.

If you look close enough to the left leg you can see a strap. The dog is wearing a harness it is just hard to see with the angle of the pic. Harnesses for little dogs dont have wide enough straps but then the harness for a large dog wouldnt be the right size for this little dog like the one in the picture. Another way to tell it is a harness is look at the where the hook up is. A regular collar isnt set up like that normally only has a little ring to attach the leash to. The one in the picture is just like the way a lot of harnesses are because of the extra straps leading to the ring.

…every time someone points out there’s a harness, someone still says choking. I can see the strap by the leg too, yeah, I call harness. Not that it makes a difference judging by the number of people who already have.

I’ve been considering suspension for a while, and thinking that if I do it it would be nice doing it with a snake around my neck, but one of the snakes I have that is very quiet and never gets stressed when people are around.

If it was a harness, the strangling look would not be present, as the weight owuld be distributed and being pulled from his back, not his neck. I also see the little thingie attatched to the collar, but it is not going around his body,oir if it is, it has been photoshopped out, which would be silly.

ok, ok. i guess i have to defend my owner on this one. i am the dog in the picture, and yes it is a harness, and it was choking me, but just a little bit, and yes i’m ok. has your dog suspended? i think not! i’m the most hardcore dog there is BITCHES (pardon the pun)!

If my dogs were small enough and I was into suspension I would more than go for it. One of my dogs would probably sit through it for me but there is no way I would suspend her fat hairy body from mine…lol
I thnk it would be an interesting bonding experience(call me strange) between pet and owner. Think on it you have to trust your pet a lot to set that up or be really fast on catching the shot without too much blurring.

Even if the dog is not being strangled and is indeed in a harness, I can’t imagine he/she enjoys hanging in the air like that. It’s fine if people pull, suspend, really do whatever they wish, but leave other creatures out of it if you’re not certain whether or not they wish to be involved. I’m sorry but I can’t believe people present let this happen, are you kidding me? “Kinda sweet”? I quite strongly disagree. He’s wearing a very comfortable harness, he’s a happy puppy, and his reaction to the event suggested that he was quite entertained. He’s one of the best cared for puppies that I’ve ever met, and his owner would never have considered allowing it if he wasn’t certain that the dog would remain unharmed.

Piercings and Body Modifications are truly a beautiful and spiritual thing. Why would anyone use an animal, of any kind, in such a manner? Harness or no harness! Perhaps this ignorant piece of “White Trash” could use a baby or a small child, instead. It certainly would be more in proportion to her body mass. On the other hand, I could suggest using “hailshimmer” as a counter weight to a two-ton wrecking ball. That would certainly be entertaining.
that is so wrong, i have no prob with using the dog as a counter weight, if they had the dog in a harnes, or somthing that balanced the weight of the dog…how would they like to be pointlessly choked for someoes pleasure? i mean they could use somthing else, and animal piercing and tattooing is fine as long as its done safely/under anesthetic.
