Figure 8 Tattoos

I really like iam:minneapolis‘s figure-8 tattoo! This picture (which I think I pushed the levels on too far, sorry — check his page for a picture that also includes spandex) was taken after the second session by Cerny at Steady Tattoo in Minneapolis, MN.

  1. I’m assuming this is an Elliott Smith tribute – it’s the wall from Sunset Boulevard where the cover of his Figure 8 album was taken. I love it – I’ve always wanted one like this.

  2. it’s not a figure 8 like the number, it’s from the cover of elliott smith’s album figure 8. maybe that should be clarified. :]

  3. blastphomy! I was going to get a figure 8 tattoo, and hope that I was original! haha, whatev. It looks fucking awesome, and hella better than any ideas I had.

  6. Hehe we just got a dogga who we named Elliott (after Elliott Smith). Lets hope his life doesn’t end in quite the same manner…
