The reference is to Ratatosk a squirrel that lives on Yggdrasil and runs up and down the tree carrying insults from the eagle at the top to the serpent at the bottom and back. I love any norse tattoo and this is a pretty cool one. I hope you get (and post) a photo of this when it’s completely done.
I find norse mythology to just be so much fun I’m actually working on a sculpture right now with Yggdrasil and Odin (even relates to body mods because it’s a suspension).
