A friend who I’ve featured here before with his finger revisions sends in this work he did back in August to give his toes a shorter and cleaner look. The quality of work he’s done is really quite exceptional for self-amputation and the healed results (you can see some on the smaller toes) are very nice if you’re into this sort of thing.

wow, they all look very neat. I confess I don’t know a whole lot about amputation but they do seem all very smooth and actually quite natural looking to me.

It’s a little extreme, and I’m not sure how it was really rationalized but I guess it makes a statement. That being said I think humans are the only living things that will resort to unecessary amputation to fulfill wants. Was it a “I don’t think my feet are pretty enough” thing, or was it a “I want to be GG Allin” kind of thing?
