Tribal Facial Tattoos and Beards

This photo got taken of a Swiss guy at the London Tattoo Convention this year… I like the juxtaposition between the three looks — tribal guy, aging biker/rock guy, and dude in a suit — but I also wanted to say that almost always facial tattoos look better with a beard. I’m not sure why… I think maybe it’s because a beard sits “over” the tattoo in the z-index, so it pulls the tattoo deeper into their being aesthetically.

  1. This guy was fascinated by me and just came right up and stared at me. I figure dif anyone has a fee pass to stare it’s someone with a facial tattoo. We had a huge language barrier, but from what little English he did speak, he was a super nice guy.

  7. No, its because youre used to looking at western omlettes and bullet holes, and anything even slightly less asthetically horrific is beautiful.

    You’ve burned out your retinas.
