Care of Mr_Hyde, I like this balanced out blackwork tattooing versus cutting outline calf sleeve… The two techniques work very nicely together. Done by Pialla at La Vecchia Bezzy in Barcelona.

Body modifications that cover a great deal of the arm are called a “sleeve”; should body modifications that cover a great deal of the leg be called a “pants leg,” “legging,” etc.?

Amazing.
I love that style of tribal work.

*Body modifications that cover a great deal of the arm are called a âsleeveâ?; should body modifications that cover a great deal of the leg be called a âpants leg,â? âlegging,â? etc.?*
My artist laughed at me for referring to leg coverage as a sleeve and said that in the industry, (in Australia, and at least, in his shop), that it is correctly called a sock. Not sure how widespread that terminology is though

Wow that looks great. I love things that fuse tattooing and cutting together 🙂

You know. I was -just- thinking something like that last night, Catherine. Though I think in a choice between ‘sock’ and ‘pants leg’, I’d have to go with sock.
On the subject of the photo though.. Damn that’s nice. I’ve been tempted to get my right leg done between ankle and knee. Not to mention how much I’d like to mix in scarification with a tattoo idea.
