Kaptive8ing suspensions

I’m not sure what’s in the water in Eugene, OR, but somehow they manage to come up with some of the craziest suspensions.  Well, maybe it’s not everyone, it could just be Supa.

You’re seeing that right.  One hook in his wrist, the other in his left bicep, with an additional set of hooks linking his knee to his elbow.  Why?  Because he’s Supa, that’s why.

And just so you don’t think Supa is the only one who has fun when the Kaptive8 Suspension Krew gets together, here’s another suspension from the same day.  It’s a 5pt resurrection suspension, and just as a warning, hooks in the face are extremely dangerous.

  5. The forehead is usually done as more of an aesthetic point, which doesn’t hold weight (except of the actual head).

    It is also considered more comfortable to have a hook through your forehead than to allow your neck to bend back.

    Firstly why would a hook in the face/forehead be any more dangerous then a hook through an arm, leg or somewhere on the torso?
    Secondly Joeltron the hook through the forehead is OBVIOUSLY holding weight be it just the head or otherwise and to say that it usually done for any reason is just a fallacy – its very uncommon to have hooks placed through the face, it is a recent and rare development and like all placements may be done for aesthetic reasons or other.
    Finally – to say that it is considered more comfortable to have a hook through your forehead than to allow your neck bend back is one of the stupidest things I have heard – read it back to yourself. Literally thousands of resurrection suspensions have been performed over the years and you actually think all these people were so uncomfortable that they would be better off supporting their head with a hook through the forehead???
