“What is the difference between exploring and getting lost?”, from The Journey is the Destination by Dan Eldon (a photojournalist, artist, and adventurer that was killed while reporting in Somalia), tattooed at Dickmann Tattoo in Denmark. I guess if I was going to answer the question I’d say when you’re exploring, you’re seeking out something new, but when you’re lost, you’re seeking out something familiar.

In answer to the question, “Attitude.”
When you’re exploring, you can find the way back out again.
When you’re lost you don’t know where you are, but when you’re exploring you don’t care.
i think its a retorical(sp?) question
Personally, I like SNR’s answer best.
I never get lost, I only go exploring/ on adventures.
Unless you want to be lost and don’t want to know where you are. I embrace
those days when I wake up and don’t know where I am.
I try to get lost.
Makes for stories.
I like the tattoo Idea
I fucking love Dan Eldon. Everyone should go check out his book. It is absolutely amazing. It may change your life…
I like your thoughts on the difference shannon.
ditto
I’d have to say it whether you know how you got there or not
preperation ?
as my mum always says:
Exploring is in the day time. When it’s dark, you’re lost.
