The hand in the tattoo belongs to Darigo (the tattooist), and it’s the hand he tattoos with.
Let me explain – He lost half of his index finger and half of his middle finger, and the tip of his ring finger in a rather messy workplace (he wasn’t a tattooist at this point) accident involving a machine with moving parts.
