steve-o, there’s an application type thing on the skin project website, and contact info for shelley. I think it’s still really, really backed up: I applied to become a word something like six months ago and I’m still waiting to hear anything, but it’s a really amazing project if that’s your thing. Good luck if you do decide to go for it!

I have a single word tattooed on me (though not a part of the skin project), and people always ask me what I mean by it. I find that even with a few years to perfect my short answer for them, I never really can explain the full meaning behind the word choice. It’s more of a flavor than anything else…
