Brünnhilde and Jenni‘s bling by Barry… Or if you’d like a less personal description, an adult female a. childreni, a female homo sapiens (affiliation: Vogue Body Piercing, Darwin, NT, Australia), and a 16mm bling eyelet from Anatometal.

Whoa, it looks like theres an eye in the bling tunnel! 😮
Could that perhaps be a vertical-inner conch instead? Hmnnn..
Cool pic none the less,
Snakes on a plane!!!
nooo….
SNAKES IN MY EAR!
Those are the tunnels I want more than anything in the entire world! Tunnels + pink + Shiny = awesome!
The snake is pretty cool too 🙂
Yay for Jen and for bling and for Brünnhilde, my new little girl! 🙂
And yes, Joel, it’s a vertical inner conch. 🙂
Aha, so THAT’S what you meant about Anatometal bling. But are you also wearing velvet with that snake? 😀
It’s too hot to wear velvet in Darwin, and that’s not me in the picture anyway. 😉 But see how well bling coordinates with everything?
Ooooh it’s giving me shivers remembering the sound of Brünnhilde hissing so close to my ear!
cute bling, pretty snakey.
and the inner conch peeking through does make it look like an eye… glad I’m not the only one to think so.
hurrah for pareidolia.
thats either a tiger reticulated python or an amazon rainbow boa, I’m thinking it’s the tiger retic but I could be wrong as I have’nt seen one in years…. but yeah the eyelets are cool too
shit I was wrong it’s a childrens python, looks alot like the tiger retic though
Awww… I love snakes so much. I miss my tiny little Dagon so much. He was a baby corn snake… but he escaped and I never found him.
Strictly speaking, if you’re using the full species name, you should capitalise the name of the genus (including when abbreviating). Thus, it should be A. childreni and Homo sapiens. More, you should cite the full genus name the first time it’s mentioned, so people know which genus you’re referring to. Hence the proper description would be an adult female Antaresia childreni.
Nice snake, too.
I don’t really mind if people don’t consider me a zoologist.
Hisssssss I totally hate friggin snakes.
yeah, BMEPets!!! 🙂
Brünnhilde’s totally a BMEsnake, she has a subdermal implant and everything. 😉
