Here’s an action shot of Oscar Navarro elevating the tissue in Bellboy‘s arm at Acid Crue, my favorite modification-driven folks from Singapore (be sure to check out their great blog as well).

Horse Riding in Chiapas
Boff (a tattoo artist who works exclusively by hand — no machines guns) sends in this shot of himself horse riding in Chiapas, Mexico — his forearm tattoo is by Kev Western at Kev’s Tattoo Studio in Leister, UK.
Snakebites on the Lake
Evan took this photo about four months ago when he was healing the snakebike piercings on his lower lip, done by Sarah at Artistic Impressions in St. Catharines, Ontario.
Dermal Punched Ear… On a cat!
Before you freak out about this 2ga punched cartilage on this cat’s ear, which was done by a Connecticut veterinarian under anesthesia, please read Chelsea‘s explanation of what you’re seeing —
“This was done while she was under anesthesia because she was a member of an established feral cat colony that was going to be released back into the wild. The holepunch was supposed to signify that she has been spayed — they do this to control the population, as the cats usually are completely wild and un-adoptable. She was an anamoly and decided that she liked being a pet better!”
Hip Piercing Array
This set of surface bar (the right way to do surface piercing in my opinion) hip piercings was done at Get It On Tattoo and Piercing in San Diego, California.
Twylasue and Gypsylou
No offense intended but I suspect they are high. Don’t worry, though, I’m high* too, so they’re in good company.
* High on life that is.
House Flies and Sparrows
Sophie Lu‘s great house fly tattoos were done by Jon at Uptown Tattoo in Minneapolis, as was her sparrow sketch, which you can see if you click through the picture.
I have no idea what the t-shirt says
But I do know that those are 1 1/8″ lobes.
Reconstructive Lobe Surgery
Nerpy decided to have her 5/8″ lobes closed up and took picture of the process along the way. From left to right, what you see is:
- 5/8″ lobes after having them for five years
- 28 stitches after reconstructive surgery to reverse ear stretching
- One month after stitch removal
- Six months after surgery
An Enlightened Body Modification
Vampire McMuffin (hilarious username by the way) had this nice third eye piercing (a dermal anchor) done by John Rowan at Rendezvous Tattoo and Body Piercing in Blacksburg, Virginia. If you’re interested in learning more, he’s written two articles about it: Prying Open My Third Eye and Part Two which are both good introductions if you’re interested in trying out this type of modification.
