Tongue Splitting Before and After

This is a home job tongue split done in “the basement of pain”, but compare the expression on each photo. Definitely feeling better once the tongue is corrected! Of all the modifications out there, tongue splitting has one of the highest satisfaction rates, and I don’t think most people could even coherently explain why — it just feels “right”. I don’t know if it’s as simple as freedom maybe — after all, your tongue muscles are deeply restricted when attached together… More than anything, for me at least, it just feels good to be able to finally move.

These days I actually feel a little sick when I look at an unsplit tongue, it just looks so “wrong” and unhealthy. On some gut level I think it looks like someone puking, but once the split is in place I don’t feel that way any more. I don’t know if that’s because I’m simply conditioned to prefer atypical bodies, or if it’s that I’ve gotten a glimpse at the truth and can’t keep looking at lies any more.

More likely the first explanation, but I prefer the second so I’ll stick with that one.

my tongue has healed back together quite a bit and now my split is only a quarter of an inch or so. AND my tongue feels really restricted now, it’s true that splitting it feels extremely liberating

Is it wrong that I was really distracted by the anti-eyebrows that look like they are going to fall off?

besides pain, i can’t think of any reason NOT to split your tongue. I kinda feel baffled sometimes about it. I don’t remember what it’s lke to have a solid tongue and i don’t mind.

Reguardless if they look bad or not, they healed up fine. And to my knowledge she still sports them.

This set of pictures really makes me want to have my tongue split. There’s just something about these photos that’s really inspirational. It must just be that she looks so much better in the 2nd pic, split or not.

Posted on 12-17-2005 17:09:26 by free will can be wasted on fools.
Who first thought that this was a good idea? Does it affect your sense of taste?
Is it difficult to eat ice cream, ladies and attach stamps? This seems unpractical and a a waste of time, money and effort. No-one would/could be like this without cash to spare.

dunno about feeling “restircted” but I would miss my massive shiny barbell if I split my tongue cause it wouldn;t be there anymore!!

yes that is indeed me, and yes at that time my anti eyebrows looked horrid, they did heal, but i had to remove them when i got pregnant due to the fact they went on the fritz again

What are anti eyebrows and how do they ” go on the fritz”

  2. i like it i want mine split but then again i haev escond thoughts is it expensive? thats one of my main concerns but ive heard it improves taste as more taste buds form on the new flesh areas or is that just roumer?

  3. well im kinda into my tattoos n piercings..i love my tongue piercing the most ..so that would stop me getting the split done..well amongst other reasons!!.. its like the eyelid piercings were its actually inder the eye lid..WHY?? makes me go euh n shudder.. but hey i love unique’ness n im all for doing what feels good.. [hows that for a contradicting state ment eh folks!!]
i bet the girl above is a real cool down to earth girl to know.. x

  4. Getting mine split in 12 hours!!! have been waiting for sooooo long! I just can’t sleep! It will be performed in Québec by an amazing artist and friend, who owns Zeplace Tattoo shop. To answer two questions, it cost between $500 and $2000, and yes the healed parts cover with taste buds!
