Vincent Hocquet Interview Posted

I’ve posted another interview with another Belgium neo-tribal/geometric artist (a la Dan), this time Vincent Hoquet of Beautiful Freak Tattoo (check out his BME gallery at that link) who’s been featured here a few times. Click through for the interview, and come back to comment.

  1. Nice interview with an excellent artist. I really digged the art-deco leg piece.
Oh my aren’t I the lucky one to live in Belgium, as geometric/polynesian is my favourite style :P

  2. I’ll second that art-deco leg piece. Kick ass. I wish there were more people who do this style (this well) in NYC. I’ve seen mostly Japenese and Americana themes than anything else. Anyone know otherwise?

  3. i would slaughter babies to get some geometric work done buy him! dose anyone know his pricing? i think i need to take a trip to Belgium!

  4. hell yeah, i would love to have some work done by him. hmm, new zealand to belgium can’t be too expensive eh?

  5. Does anyone know what happened to David Kotker and No Hope No Fear? Just after I was tattooed at his Amsterdam studio in 2003, it disappeared. I know there had been some problems with a few of his artists, and that around the same time Amsterdam’s best piercing studio – Body Manipulations – was forced out of business by a tax bill it couldn’t afford, but NHNF just vanished and so did its website.

It was a terrible shame, because it was a beautiful studio with some incredibly talented artists.

  6. i absolutely love the art deco piece on the calf.. it looks so amazing but blends in so well. he is very talented, thanks for posting the interview

  7. I ADORE his work, it’s so beautiful.
I’m planning on getting a large piece on my back done by him :)
    Yay for living near Belgium!

Go check his website, he has done such gorgeous pieces!

  8. like his work its unique
thank god i just live around the corner of his shop
