The Wonderful Adventures of Nils

This is one of those references where you’ll either know it right away or you’ll have no clue at all.  Myself, I had no clue, but the wonders of the internet filled me in.  Earlier this month at the International Brussels Tattoo Convention, Michael Kozlenko from Kipod Tattoo in Tel Aviv created this image for a client.  It’s of Nils, the main character of The Wonderful Adventures of Nils, a Swedish children’s book which was adapted into an anime series back in the 80s.

Pigs… in… space!!!

Alright, so maybe it’s just a guinea pig, but it is still in space.  I’m not sure exactly what the apple means, or if it’s just a separate piece done by the same artist, but the guinea pig in space goes back to the launch of Sputnik 9 in 1961, which had a guinea pig as a passenger.

Tattoo by Arad Bert, from Kipod Tattoo in Tel Aviv, Israel.

PANDA!!!

Arad Bert from Kipod Tattoo in Tel Aviv made me grin from ear to ear when I saw this tattoo.  Probably because I just watched the Panda Cheese commercials last week.  Regardless, this is a great tattoo from one of the many talented artists at Kipod Tattoo.

A Portrait and the Artist

Last weekend was the Frankfurt Tattoo Convention, and we’re already starting to get photos added to the Frankfurt Convention gallery.  This portrait was done at the convention by none other than Michael Kozlenko, one of the tattoo geniuses from Kipod Tattoo.

We’ve seen a lot of Michael’s work over the past few years, but we really haven’t gotten a good look at the man himself.  Until now.

Here he is hard at work on the portrait you see above.

There are many more photos from the convention coming in every day so stay tuned for more from Kipod Tattoo, and the other studios that attended the Frankfurt Tattoo Convention.

A mountain top never looked so good.

We see a lot of tattoos come out of Kipod studios, and rightfully so.  Michael and the rest of the artists consistently put out solid work, and are kind enough to share it with us in the studio’s portfolio gallery.

If you’re an artist and would like your own portfolio gallery, simply e-mail [email protected] and send in your request.  After that whenever you submit photos you can put them directly into your gallery.
