Forget the tattoo (which is pretty good, by the way), what’s on that guy’s chin? It’s not a beard, right? Right?
pig flesh or not, not bad for a first tattoo…
A cute Grim Reaper. I dig it.
(I thought it was a really oddly coloured shark fin at first.)
A ha! They do practice on dead pigs don’t they? Not that I’m not making any judgements here or anything.
umm… tattoo itself is cute but I feel a little weird complimenting it.
good job for a first tattoo, mmhmm.
clockbound – That’s his thumb.
Thank you, I had no idea for a while.
Iul just insane !!!! But very cool, nice draw…like it. Cya!
When I was apprenticing I went through a lot of pigskin. The guy at the Mexican butcher shop gave me some very weird looks when I got my weekly order.
And while it is good that it doesn’t move, it does rot while you’re working on it. Finally, I figured out it helps if you keep cookie pans of ice around to keep it cold while you work.
I’ve never heard of any kind of skin rotting within even 10 hours at room temp. (??)
I can imagine it being a great practice surface. Nice to know apprentices and tatto artists in general have the sense to practice on something not alive first.
This artist will probably have a good future :)
Foda essa tatoo!

Neat! I always wondered how a tattoo artist gets started..
