So, as this is my last post (for the Canadian evening), I thought as a change of pace I’d treat you all to some geek influenced tattoos, and a scarification.. Another few hundred Kilobytes of photos are after the break!
First up is Matt and his “thumb of power” scarification that leaves motorists bewildered as to why they stopped to pick him up! By Wayde Dunn, Infinite Body Piercing, Philadelphia.
Next on the gurney is this super-vibrant “medical” tattoo on IAM: medic (surprise, surprise) and is by DeeDee Seruga, Requiem Body Art, Spring Hill, Florida.
These are my personal favourites! Clickthrough for larger images..
The penultimate tattoo in this entry is by an unknown artist (who was apparently bipedal through the entire sitting!) from Tiki Tattoo in Mesa, Arizona.
And finally (hope you’re not too geeked out because the second batch is going up tomorrow night!), it’s this charming gamer tattoo by Matt Griffith (2 Dollar Pistol Tattoo, Chillicothe, Ohio).
I’m planning to make tomorrow a BMEBoys day, the unfortunate truth is that boys don’t seem to submit as many photos as the girls. Judging by the above though you can’t blame computer games for that!

This is SO awesome. I LOVE IT <3

OMG, i just can’t get over how such a simple 8-bit image can create such an awesome, and everlasting retro tat. looking forward to tomorrow’s second batch! 😀

I don’t know what’s nerdier – these (awesome) tattoos or the use of the word penultimate! 😉

Ooooh nerd tattoos are just so fantastic! 🙂 Is the “power thumb” a blacklight tattoo, or just white ink?

OMG i really hate to say this, but 1.4% is not the difference between humans and chimps! 99.4% of a chimps DNA is that same as ours. Its more like 0.6% :/

In response to monica:
It is actually a scar. I was actually modblogged before for the exact same thing, only for the pictures of when it was fresh.

Woo, go Matt!

The difference between human and chimp DNA is about 5-6%, however if you don’t count repeating sequences (only count single nucleotide changes) the difference is about 1,5%.
