Eyes Turned Skyward

I really like Cliff’s variation on the hoary old wing tattoo — to be honest, I’m surprised we don’t see this placement more often. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that Vincent Hocquet’s stippling technique is so impressive, either. A couple of close-ups, after the jump.

  1. Id imagen you’ve not seen this placement before is the fact of a lot of tattooist wouldn’t actually tattoo some thing like this as it goes down on to the hands with out him having any other type of easily visible coverage.

All that a side it is one hell of a cool piece.

  2. wow. i absolutely love this idea. im really against copying ideas, but i reallly want something like that now. i just dont know if i can bring myself to it.

  3. Whenever he hugs people he’ll give them wings. That was a deep statement. lol. Its all I can think of though. Beautiful tattoo.

  4. thats amazing! i love dotwork. i thought it was the freakshop work too. great quality, perfect placement. so good!

  5. The guy with the wings (Cliff) is one of my best friends, and he is one of the nicest people on the face of the earth. Always artistic, always thinking, and always, always one helluva guy.

  6. i really like the tattoo and the dotwork.

but they arent symmetrical…the stentils must have sit slightly different on one of his arms.

other than that it looks amazing.

  7. That’s awesome. I’m so glad that’s the only thing on his arms. There’s nothing to distract from the awesomeness of this.
