Why do elephants paint their toenails red?

So they can hide in cherry trees!

(Disclaimer: That may or may not be a cherry tree)

  1. Does that cute looking elephant lost his mommy because of poachers shooting her, see the cross in the back? Or is it me?

  2. The colors are vibrant and soft at the same time. The way they flow makes me think of watercolors, and I love how he did the roots.
