They’re surface bars, but I have to admit that the first thing that comes to mind is backyard-wrestling where someone gets tossed onto a bed of thumbtacks!

you know getting tossed into a bed of thumbtacks is never the first thing that comes to mind for me. maybe i didn’t have a weird enough childhood.
Are those smartie beads on them rather than discs? I’ve not been able to find any in a large size in Australia, only discs 🙁
thats insane =)
lol thats awkward
I can’t imagine seeing this healed in public.
Like… walking down the street and being like “hey cool arm thingie”
made me think of elevator buttons . .
Wow, really cool.
Campbell – Smartie beads?!??!??
I think there’s a BME Wiki article on them.
Think of normal discs, but wider and slightly curved.

i thought they were thumbtacks, glad i wasn’t alone when i read the caption, lol
Oooh, I just want to reach out and run my hand along them, VERY cool!
Cool, never heard of those before.
That looks like it would be awful to heal.
Amazing though.
Are they fresh? Despite image quality they look very well done…
They are fresh as far as I know, but in theory they’re totally heal-able…
i so thought thumb tacks before i read more into it
Seriously Shannon…. i don’t know what kind of backyard wrestling you’ve done, but a bed of thumbtacks were never included in my backyard wrestling matches!
haha.. couldn’t be a better person running bme…
I’m not sure I like the LOOK of it… there’s a sort of design in there, obviously.. but is it supposed to look like something specific? I don’t know.. I think in th end the scars that they will leave behind will look the neatest!
