I like when tattoos break the stereotype of black outlines… This all green piece is by Jason Hoodrich at Tatu Tattoo in Chicago, and based on original artwork by Jesse Michael Renaud.
This piercing is almost always done with a barbell, so I quite liked the change of getting to see it with a ring, which I think suits it quite well in a Captain Lou Albano sort of way… This one was done by Steve at Dreamcatcher Tattoo in Currituck, NC, and is a week old in this photo.
Edit: Since people insist on me stating the obvious, this piercing will be more difficult to heal with this jewelry.
Pretend Im Human writes of her tattoo by Shon Koperweis (“at his house with a gun, in Oakland”), “[it’s] a metaphor for humans and the planet — the planet is the diamond, and we are the monsters”. Fair enough.
The thing I like most about this tattoo (by Sean Wjaun at Tattoo Junkies in NH) is the white ink… Even though it could just be left skin color, I think when white’s used to fill the background of a tattoo it really punches it up quite a lot.
Busta‘s tattoo by Faye at Wild Side Tattoo in Platteville, WI is from the From Them, Through Us, To You album cover… if you feel like listening to the song it’s based on, you can click the picture (it’ll last until the copyright police pull it from YouTube I guess).
And oh my gosh, as I write this, Steven Colbert is on TV making fun of Good Charlotte tattoos!!! Perfect timing…
