Best school teacher ever? I don’t know, because I never took a class under him. But coolest ex-teacher ever? Definitely. And thus he gets to stay at the top of ModBlog until I get back from Carlilse and NYC! Anyway, go say hello to Bruce over at IAM:tribalface and meet one of the most remarkable men in this community with one of the wildest look (that he had to wait until he retired to get).

I assume this tattoo is race inspired, but that’s a pretty big assumption to make blind, so I hope I’m not assuming wrong when I make that comment. If it is though, I like the concept a lot!

Kyle sends in this “Robot with Guts”. I think the quality of the tattoo is a little better technically than the cooking robot I recently posted, but I think of the two, as a concept, I still prefer the earlier one because for whatever reason the toaster-head just melts my stoney shell… what do you think?

Hearing Aid + Helix Story

Let me just share the story directly:

Since I was born with a fairly severe hearing loss, I'm pretty much required to wear hearing aids. I never liked to (still don't) but there's not much I can do about it. I decided rather than just put up with my condition, I could try and have a little fun with it. Hence, an Ear Head piercing enclosing the tube of my hearing aid. [The first time] it rejected very quickly, and I got it redone this January, this time by by Anne at Studio 13 and a Half with a 16g barbell. Once it heals (assuming it ever does...) it will be a CBR as well [as you see in the photo]. It's quite swollen and unhappy right now. It gets bumped and yanked waaay too much in martial arts class!
