Red blood drops with black skull and crossbones on skinhead69 and his partner (see it in action). It was done while on vacation in Portland, and their own blood was mixed in with the ink as well (although I guess you could argue that happens with most tattoos).
I know, I know, they’re often the same thing — especially if you’re talking about oldschool DIY punk rather than modern corporate marketting theme punk — but I thought that these two tattoos represented two good examples of very different ways of saying effectively the same thing.
People always seem to like when I post pictures of modified folk and kids, so here’s Wild Skin from Buenos Aires, Argentina with his little brother. Part of me thinks the reason people like these pictures so much is that a lot of us have experienced serious damage and trauma to our family lives due to our body modification decisions, so we feel really happy to see families that prosper nonetheless?
I thought this piece by Ian Comete at Impressionz Tattoo in Ottawa was nice.
A while back I showed you Jay‘s ridiculous ‘Poquito’ tattoo. He’s upped the ante with his new piece, which he tells me are there so he can get a better grip on you (he’s a piercer you dirty minded champion onanists). This was done by the very talented (and very nice; ignore the surname) Dave Bastard at Big Kahuna in Boca Raton, FL.
Well, it’s Valentine’s Day again, but this is the first year in maybe ten years that I’ve been alone… Every time I hear a floorboard creak my first instinct is that it’s Rachel coming in to the room, but of course it’s not. In any case, not to dwell on the sad things in life, so here’s a gallery of some of my favorite heart tattoos that have been submitted over the years to BME.

I know this must seem like it’s starting to be Joy Rumore‘s photoblog, but she does seem to keep on doing post-able art… Here’s what Peck just had her apply to his fingers. We’ll see how it heals though, it’s not an easy location.

I don’t want to be rude and guess at the precise meaning of this particular gag finger tattoo… For all I know the “WTF” subtext gives it a definition of “if you cum on my face, I’m going to be royally pissed off at you”, rather than it being an invite for bukkake. Either way, thanks DTM for sending it my way.
