Italian Skin Removal
Haha, thanks to “sex sells more records than rock so let’s fuck” Meltbanana from Milano for this fun picture of her pubic skin removal scarification. Outside of the fact that I always like pictures of pretty naked girls, I like seeing pictures of happy people even more.
Burned out stars
I love the way this scarification — branding over a solid black tattoo — turned out. Another wonderful piece by Quentin at Kalima Modifications in Worthing, Sussex, UK.
Scarification Outlined Metal Mohawk
Brian of Pure Body Arts in Brooklyn, NY, sends in these shots of six 4ga head transdermals, outlined with a cutting.
Hands Cut and Tattooed
Peter Sheringham (The Piercing Urge, Melbourne, Australia) sends in this shot of a cutting performed with the film crew from Taboo in attendence. That reminds me — the folks from Sin Cities (great show!) are looking for extreme play and modification (eunuchs, saline injection, and so on) people to film with in Vancouver, Seattle, and Montreal. If you’re interested, write me at [email protected] and I’ll put you in touch.
“Closer to God” skin removal
I’ve posted a few fresh script skin removals in the past, but I had to share this beautifully healed on by Andre Fernandes at Tattoo You in Sao Paulo, Brasil. Oh, and for anyone reading this from the area, be sure to check out Con.Scar 2006, the first scarificatin convention to be hosted in South America (inspired by Shawn Porter‘s ScarWars, now planning its third year). Andre will be working at that event along with other artists.
Flock of birds cutting
I don’t think I’ve seen a single scarification piece by Wayde Dunn at Puncture Body Piercing in Maroochydore, Queensland, Australia that I didn’t think was just stunning. These birds are just the first to be cut — more are planned.
More work by Wayde: Skull and Crossbones, Cherry Blossom Chest Cutting, Giant Bird Scar, Aztec Cutting, and of course the Wayde Dunn mini-portfolio on BME.
Scarred and Pierced
Since from the recent Polaroid responses, MarySparks seems to have some fans reading here, so let me share with you this great shot of her new cheek piercings by Kyle Peterson at Evolved in Columbus, Ohio.

DIY Branding
Now, before you slag Todd for using found-object tools for branding, I’d like to state for the record that I have brands that are now about 15 years old, done with pieces of a tin can, and they’re as well defined and raised and even as anything I’ve seen done using more widely accepted tools.
Oh, and I’m not sure if I’ve accidentally reposted some things in today’s update. My apologies if that’s the case.
