Brian Griffin Tattoo (Family Guy)

Mostly I’m posting this because I’m a fan of the show. The tattoo was done at Texas Tattoo Emporium in Houston.

Brian: Look you can’t run away from your problems Chris. That’s what I tried to do. I joined the Peace Corps and a day later I was two continents away.

…but 6,000 miles and all the dope I could smoke still couldn’t separate me from my problems. And this was good dope. I mean it was growing everywhere. Oh my God! This one time we got so baked we ended up eating all the food at the food the World Health Organization had airlifted in. Oh man those villagers were so pissed! They tried to chase us, but lemme just say thank God for polio.

I <3 Komando

I know, I’ve said this a ton of times on BME and on my personal blog, but I just love komando‘s look… I hope she doesn’t get mad at me for saying this, but it’s just so cute and adorable! I wish more heavy modded people were so happy looking… too many people want to focus on being cool or badass instead of focusing on just enjoying being themselves I think.

Gray’s Anatomy Tattoo

I’m talking about the book, not the television show. Although who knows if the show is helping the popularity of the book among non-doctors (I’m thinking so because when this was submitted it was spelled “Grey’s” which is the show)? Anyway, these are ribs, tattooed on the client’s ribcage, by Ceasar at Body Shop Tattoo in Glendale, CA.

By the way, if I’m completely off the mark and this is from the show credits or something, someone please say so in the comments.

Tattooed Scarification Mosaic

OK, I didn’t think I was going to post anything else today but this piece is just so sweet that I had to add it. It’s on tigricula and was originally a kind of crappy tattoo. Then Brian (click on his name, he loves it when you do that), and then once it was well healed, it was touched up with tattooing by The Milkmaid (both at PURE in NYC).

It’s my personal believe that some of the high detail scarification that’s being done these days may not stand the test of time, but when you combine scarification with tattooing, you almost create an altogether new form of body art that I think we’ll see much more of in the future!

PS. Thanks to Rebekah from Modified News for the tip!

Rings galore

I wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to find the time today to post to ModBlog! I may also have to take the next couple of weeks off because Jon and I want to do some major overhauling to BME to bring it out of the mid-1990s in terms of the technology that powers the site…. Parts of it are starting to feel dated and I appreciate you all being so patient with me.

Thanks to Melanie in Ottawa for sending me this photo of her side-corsets (ribbons were added later). The piercings themselves are care of Matt Cottrell.
