I get a kick out of this shot of Kevin at the NYC tattoo convention wearing a human rib (as in what girls are made of a real human rib) as jewelry for his stretched septum and ear lobes. Or at least that he tells me. I just realized as I’m writing this for all I know I’m being messed with, ha.

Punch, Re-punch, Taper!
Damn, this is pretty intense in terms of just how much of a percentage of the outer conch is gone — a punch, repunch, and then taper to 000ga (about 7/16″). Piercing by Modified-Design, Sherman, TX (c/o IAM:Jessestar).
I am definitely going unsane.
Thanks to XunsaneX for this great steamy photo by Don from Southbound (and piercing by Jessika at River City Tattoo in Richmond, VA).
Hearing Aid + Helix Story
Let me just share the story directly:
Since I was born with a fairly severe hearing loss, I'm pretty much required to wear hearing aids. I never liked to (still don't) but there's not much I can do about it. I decided rather than just put up with my condition, I could try and have a little fun with it. Hence, an Ear Head piercing enclosing the tube of my hearing aid.
[The first time] it rejected very quickly, and I got it redone this January, this time by by Anne at Studio 13 and a Half with a 16g barbell. Once it heals (assuming it ever does...) it will be a CBR as well [as you see in the photo].
It's quite swollen and unhappy right now. It gets bumped and yanked waaay too much in martial arts class!

These guys really like piercings!
Thanks to photographer GeorgeZix for this crazy picture of a couple Taipas/Sao Paulo piercers.
A corset for prom
I love that temporary piercings have become a part of formal wear! Cutie-pie Theresa got this 8-ring corset done for her prom, and I have to admit that it completes her look quite perfectly. Oh, and that says prom, not porn. I know, you may have misread it, this being ModBlog and all…
Thanks, Rahim
Have I mentioned that Rahim owns the patent to Viagra? Well, something like that. Anyway, for this scene his manufacturing facilities were at Mercy Studio in Winnipeg, MB.
Show me your ID, please.
OK, REVOLT! is of age (as far as I know anyway), but I can’t imagine how much he gets hassled for ID when he gets pierced, let alone goes to buy smokes…! Oh wait, you don’t get asked for ID when you’re buying that kind of smokes.

Piercing vs. Tattoos
I’m not sure if I’m sold on it, but I do find the idea of achieving symmetry with tattoos on one side and piercings on the other interesting. I don’t know who did the tattoo, but the piercing is by Sarvas at Blue Boutique (also in SLC, as in the previous entry). They are “swoop design” surface bars in 14ga.
