It’s a tiny Om made from tiny dots. I’m not really familiar with Israeli currency, but I’m guessing that coin is roughly the size of a nickle. Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong.
Not surprisingly, this tattoo comes from Cyber Tattoo which is located in Israel.
Buddha has been portrayed in countless ways over the centuries. Keegan Lam from Forever Ink in Toronto came up with this interpretation of Buddha which he calls “The Urban Buddha“.
I realize that this is a portrayal of Budai, however western culture has come to know him more commonly as the Laughing Buddha.

This was sent in by the photographer, CHRISMDAY, who’s work we’ve seen before with this amazing shot Jen posted a few weeks back. Chris has a knack for capturing sensual images of modified models, and this is just one of a series of photos of this particular model which you can find in the BME Girls Gallery.
Sonja from Punktum Tattoo in Germany has taken stippling to new levels with her geometric designs. But she isn’t just limited to playing with math. Using designs that evoke the image of a mandala, combined with symbols such as the Om, her works go beyond the technical and into the spiritual.
People who have me added on Facebook may have noticed me complaining late last night about the difficulty in tracking down an artist. The reason I was up late was because I was trying to find the artist responsible for this beautiful creation.
After some MySpace hopping, and Googling, I finally found the artist. It is none other than Jackie Rabbit, from Star City Tattoos in Roanoke, VA. This sleeve, as well as a number of her other pieces were submitted this week, so expect to see more from Jackie. I’ve added a couple of close-ups to the post, but to get the full sized images, you can see them in the miscellaneous tattoo gallery.

Like I said earlier, this is just beautiful. She’s managed to capture the finer details of both the church and the monument, while still adding an artistic flair to the piece. The darkness of the woods surrounding the angel brings a sense of sadness that is counterbalanced with the brightness of the sky, bringing hope to those who look for it in a church.

Well, with all the hoopla surrounding a small group of Christians who think the Big J is coming back tomorrow to take away the good ones and leave the rest of us scoundrels here to face the apocalypse, I felt it only fitting to go with a religious theme today.
Even though I am by no means a Christian, I have a long standing affinity for angels, I think watching The Prophecy a few dozen times too often may have led to this. This particular angel backpiece was done by Matt Kramer of Mind’s Eye Tattoo in Emmaus, Pa.
Some days, it’s just best to let the picture do the talking.
The only information I have for you is that it was sent in by FemaleHumanoid, who I’m guessing is either the photographer or the artist, as you’ll be seeing another photo from them later this afternoon. This is one of those photos that looks fantastic here, but when you take a look at the full sized image in the gallery, it becomes even more incredible.

There’s not denying that this Star of David tattoo carries religious significance to the wearer. While my Hebrew is non-existent, perhaps some of our readers could help provide a translation. Unless of course Jen gets to this post first, as she is BME’s resident Hebrew expert.
