This great shot of Hollis was taken by Jill Auville, with the corset piercings (twenty-six 7/16″ 12ga rings) being put in place by Russ McSwain of Modern Body Tattoos and Piercing in Sacramento, CA.

Oh god, oh god, oh god. Seriously, Ascenscion Suspension out of Albuquerque puts on some of the sexiest shows in suspension (and also facilitate lots of private suspensions for people as well). I might feel guilty staring, but that’s the nature of the show so I’m not apologizing for my now dried out eyes.

I mentioned in the entry above this one that Ascension Suspension does plenty of suspensions in a non-performance environment as well. Here’s a photo c/o Steve Truitt of one I really like, held October 28, 2006. I love the expression that was captured in this moment…

That’s a really nice Madison placement, but I think this is my favorite sort of landscape… Hilly, with nice big rocks jutting out of the underlying foliage.

Gala just had her friend John do her first ever play piercing session. She says she loved it, but wishes there was more blood (click through to see how little there was) — I agree… Blood is half the fun. I think the quote from Asurfael (from the long overdue Uvatiarru) goes,
“I think that blood tastes good… It’s not probably about the taste, it’s more about knowing that that’s the very substance that keeps me alive, and that I have control over it.”

I just love this suspension picture, the lighting and background is perfect (or maybe I just have a soft spot for Wisconsin, I don’t know)! It’s her first one, a four point suicide-style, done with the folks at Cutthroat in Milwaukee, WI. Getting kind of cold there for suspensions — bring your scarf!

A reader in Whitby sends in these shots of Zoe and her biomech pieces, scarring, and arm transdermal implants. Neither of us could remember who she models for by the way, so if anyone reading this knows, please do post.

U THINK U TUFF?
U BITCHES TALK CRIME BUT U SCARED OF JAIL… Done by Saner Erdogan (or Murat Kaya; sorry, I’m not 100% sure) at Crazy Needle Tattoo in Antalya, Turkey. I know I’m probably not tough enough for Turkish prison! I wonder if this guys is…
Tribal Facial Tattoos and Beards
This photo got taken of a Swiss guy at the London Tattoo Convention this year… I like the juxtaposition between the three looks — tribal guy, aging biker/rock guy, and dude in a suit — but I also wanted to say that almost always facial tattoos look better with a beard. I’m not sure why… I think maybe it’s because a beard sits “over” the tattoo in the z-index, so it pulls the tattoo deeper into their being aesthetically.
